@intricatic I do not really think anyone can "drive" someone to believe a certain ideology. Surely you have a brain to evaluate different beliefs and ideologies for yourself to see which ones pan out and which ones make sense. I would not end up on the wrong road just because someone I know acted weird -- That would be letting another person create my whole life. I would end up on the wrong road because I thought about it for myself and decided that was the best road for me. Are you walking the road that will ultimately take you where you would like to arrive? 😎👍🇺🇸 ✝️

@intricatic It tends to be true that traditions can seem hollow to someone who is remote from the original event. But that does not mean that the original event is without meaning. For example, we celebrate Christmas with giving of gifts to each other and Santa Claus gives gifts every year. But stores are beginning to make the giving of gifts seem commercialized. But when you know the story behind it, you find more meaning. Santa Claus is actually Saint Nicolas. He is famous because a certain girl wanted to get married and could not get married because she did not have a dowry. So Saint Nicolas went to her house in the middle of the night and tossed a small bag of gold into her window. Since that time every year we honor Saint Nicolas observe the act of Saint Nicolas' good works of helping the poor by giving gifts in the middle of the night by doing a reenactment of the events and having Santa Claus give gifts in the middle of the night. Traditions are meant to keep an important event alive. But with the passing of time, they can lose their meaning. But they can be very powerful and moving when understood in the correct light.
