Your first sentence is "I don't understand . . " When you do not understand something, do not be quick to judge those who do. The reason Huawei is sanctioned is because the fascist communist Chinese party is building a database of every single person in the world. It is more than likely that the Chinese have your face, your address, your email, your phone number and every personal detail that you have ever posted on the internet in their giant database now. Can you explain why the Chinese government needs to know your favorite food? 🍔🍟🥤 They have artificial intelligence software that can pick you out of a crowd walking through a train station through facial recognition. If they are looking for you for any reason and you happen to stand in front of one of their cameras, they have you. They have another database that is collecting the genome of every person in the world. Did you know that if you drive an electric car in China with smart tracking software, the Chinese government is constantly tracking your car and knows exactly where to find you at any time because they are following you around? People who know about this wonder why China needs this capability and the only reasonable answer is that they are planning to rule the whole world with an iron fist someday. This is James Bond evil-nemesis take over and rule the world stuff. Only it is not a movie -- it is happening in real life. Huawei has not specifically been implicated in this scheme. But the phone and 5g wifi equipment are banned because they have the potential of doing personal data collection and sending it back to China. And if the Chinese government requests Huawei to do spying, according to Chinese law, Huawei must comply. The advanced chips are banned because they can be used in advanced military equipment. Ha! And you think the United States is the "mad dog!" 🤷‍♀️ 🤷‍♂️ (I am not surprised at all that your Chinese friends are not aware that their government is doing this.)

@Eureka42 Russia has 50% more ICBMs than the United States has and is still building. Russia or North Korea alone are not "currently" a threat to the United States. But when allied with China, Iran, Venezuela, Nicaragua, and Cuba, they are a threat. All of the countries mentioned are communist countries who want to destroy "the American capitalists" except Iran who just hates America without any reason.
