  7. The poverty in this town is because the railroad was closed down years ago and everyone moved to another town pursuing jobs. It is not indicative of the whole United States. There is nothing to be sad or fearful about. Time marches forward.

  11. There is no economy after the railroad closed. People cannot rebuild their own house and there are no buyers to sell to.

  12. ​ @ggsuki627 In 1927, this town flooded and all of the houses were destroyed. When the town was built back, all of the Black people were put on the South of Plaza Street and all of the White people were put on North of Plaza street.

  13. ​ @wwrecords1 Calm down guy. I am White living in West Helena. My Black neighbors are good Christians who go to church on Sunday. I have never had a racial problem here. Besides that, Walmart and all of the shopping is in West Helena. They have to come here to shop or eat out.
