  4. @jefferyyounce5372  That is correct. Republics do not have unfettered democracy. They have a constitution with a bill of rights that guarantees minority voting groups the same rights as the majority voting group. Pure unfettered democracy lets the majority outvote the rights of the minority. Some people call that "mob rule."

  6. @arturferrao7353  Palestine is not a country. The Arabs declared the Palestinians to be a state of people in 1988. But they did not declare any land. A country has declared land and borders. The 1922 election was annulled because the Arabs boycotted the elections. Only the Christians and Jews came out to vote.

  7. @arturferrao7353  There is no link. If you do a little checking and look at some old photographs from 1939, you will find everything in the whole country labeled "Israel palestine." At any rate, Palestine ended in 1948 when the British dropped the project and turned it over to the United Nations. Then under UN approval, Israel declared themselves a state and declared borders. After the 1948 declaration of Israel, the old maps, borders, and terms are expired and no longer apply. Incidentally, the flag of British Mandated Palestine has the Star of David in the middle of it.

  8. @arturferrao7353  I am sorry but your supposed fun fact is wrong. The fact is that the United Nations had already drawn a map where they thought the borders should be. And Israel declared themselves a state and said, "We accept the United Nations map."

  9.  @arturferrao7353  The reason the Arab League did not declare any land is because they said that any Palestinian anywhere in the world is a part of this new Palestinian state. (Which inadvertently included anyone born in Palestine, whether, Jew, Christian, Arab, Hindu, American . . . or whatever.)
