@suehowie152 In order to have defamation, you have to prove that the lie materially hurt someone in some way. Dominiin's opinion is only an opinion -- opinions do not carry much weight with me.

@stevejayanoris6138 Huh? Democrats have been lying to the detriment of the country for 200 years. What about claiming mankind was created by evolution? What about claiming an unborn child is only plasma? What about claiming that women are equal to men and can do any job a man can do? Men can change into women and women can change into men. Defunding the police will reduce crime. A black person defined as being "property." Nothing is right or wrong -- it is just a lifestyle choice. Marriage can be between two similar people. There is no God? Really?? Lie after lie after lie that is detrimental to the country . . . is anybody suing them? Those liars have a God-given right to lie and destroy our country . . . and it is also not illegal to do that. What people "should do" does not take away their human rights.

@gordoncalhoun4725 Not exactly. I could lie about you all day long and you could not sue me. You can only sue me for defamation if my lies actually hurt you in some way. Famous people like movie stars and singers can claim that the lies damaged their reputation and costs them money. The average joe on the street cannot make that claim and cannot sue for defamation.

The court is not going to tell "the whole world" what they said . . . and it is not the whole world's business anyway -- it is America's business. And until the trial is over, there is proof that they lied anyway.
