The president is used to living in a world where the people he deals with have lots of money to pay things. That is an oversimplified explanation because we have many manufacturers who sell overseas, such as Whirlpool and Boeing. But that is basically the idea. It is really a genius idea.

The Cruze made in Australia was sold in Asia. The Cruze made in Argentina was sold in Latin America. The Cruze made in Korea was sold in Korea and Malaysia. The Cruze made in Loudesburg was sold in North America. The Cruze made in St. Petersburg was sold in Russia. And so on . . . An American company localized production to each region and produced cars close to where they will be sold. This is what I explained earlier and you said cannot happen. (Each of those Cruze was a different model based on local tastes and preferences.)

​ @krzysztofpl5871 The first Honda car that I ever saw was a Honda Civic around 1975. It was a complete bucket of rust, and you could see through the body panels where it had large gaping holes rusted in it. I was shopped at the quality of Japanese cars.

It has too many parts that can go wrong and is too complicated. General Motors is trying to improve their designs and improve the quality and performance of the truck and also meet emissions standards, and they went too far and made it too complicated. They need to drop back to the reliable 3-speed transmission. But doing that will increase the emissions and lower the fuel mileage. You have to remember that they have to comply with U.S. emissions laws.

​ @Sweetwater20120 Turbochargers do not count. Those things spin at 23,000 rpm. Obviously, they are not going to hold up. They should not be used on a street car. But they allow you to use a smaller lightweight engine. They are on cars in order to comply with U.S. emissions laws.

If you will visit my playlist for American cars, you will see more old running American cars than you can count. Also, a car can be kept on the road for more than a hundred years, if you take care of it and keep repairing it. I have plenty of 1900s and 1910s cars in my playlists. Obviously, you are the dense person who does not know math.
