β @palimpalim5291 If you would choose Russia, that just proves that you are not smart.

@almostamerican8077 What are you talking about? The oil price has nothing to do with it. We are giving tax credits and subsidies to Tesla buyers and charging stations.

Actually, the president did not bring up the idea of forcing Greenland. A news reporter came up with the idea and asked it as a question.

We were not "using" them. Using them for WHAT exactly???

@phhp7888 What agreements Russia has broken? When the Soviet Union collapsed, the USA and Russia together talked Ukraine into giving all of their nuclear weapons to Russia, and in exchange, Russia would be the security protector and defend Ukraine.
4
@firebyrd437 I am sorry. But your information is wrong. There was never any "agreement" with Gorbachev. Agreements are between countries -- not between individuals. And they are written down on paper, and that paper is signed by every nation that is involved.

@bulllea Well, we have no reason to "weaken Russia." When the war started we had 5000 American businesses invested in Russia, and they were making good profits. All of those private corporations pulling out of Russia cost them an uncountable fortune. Our LNG companies are supplying 346 million American houses, as well as the American factories (the United States is the number two manufacturer). We do not have any extra LNG to sell to Europe. And if we did, the government would not start a war for some private company to make a profit anyway. "Killing German competition" just makes China stronger . . . "Weakening the EU" just makes BRICS stronger . . . . Profits from American arms sales does not go to the United States government. It goes to private stockholders. And what advantage is it to kill off 5000 peaceful American companies operating inside Russia and trade that for arms profits? And you are completely overlooking that the United States is not in any way competing with Germany or the EU. Under capitalism, governments do not complete or get involved. The government is the referee. Only the private companies compete against each other for profits -- not the government. You have nothing.

@ricknoisable American gas is super cheap.

@Samuel-hd3cp NO it is not wrong, Sammy. π I live in the United States, Sammy. I know the gas price. π

β @crazyqqq3 We are not holding them hostage. Cut me a break.

@ddv267 Never heard of that. But I would just tell them to cool it and sit down. I would remind them that they are only 1 out of 31 countries represented. That is not really a big deal for a mature adult to handle.
1
@ddv267 A lot of Europeans say that American tourists talk too loud. Maybe you just do not understand American culture and mannerisms.
1
@ddv267 Weird. How many Americans were in the meeting and were they all White?
1
@Queen731. I am not sure what that is about because there is NOTHING true or accurate in that statement. It sounds like the Black Americans claiming that "the United States was built upon slavery." Pure minority victimhood propaganda.

@dantefekete7617 I have to disagree with who owned the weapons. Ukraine was a part of the Soviet Union. So they owned their share of the weapons. Why would you claim that only Russia owned the weapons? Russia was just one country among many. I have to disagree that Ukraine "was intended to remain neutral." There was nothing about Ukraine "being nuetral." Ukraine is just a sovereign country running their own business. They can do whatever they want. The United States cannot tell Ukraine what to do. Russia cannot tell Ukraine what to do. This is not a soccer match and Ukraine is not a football. Ukraine is a country. I also have to disagree on NATO "encroaching" on Russia. No such thing has taken place. NATO has never entered Russian borders. Furthermore, your use of "nuetral" does not apply here. You can only have "nuetral" when there are two adversaries. When the Soviet Union and communism collapsed, there were no more adversaries. The United States and Russia became friends. When everyone is friends, one does not have a nuetral country . . .everyone is nuetral.

@dantefekete7617 The Budapest Memorandom says the Ukraine is an "independent and sovereign" country. Why are you telling me to read it when you have not read it ???????
1
@dantefekete7617 I am not forgetting and I am not getting your point. Only Russia has violated the Budapest Memorandum by invading Ukraine. No one else has invaded Ukraine. And no the weapons did not belong to Russia. They belonged to all members of the Soviet Union. Ukraine was a member of the Soviet Union and A PORTION of the weapons were UKRAINE PROPERTY. Why do you feel the need to say things that are very obviously not true? That is lying.
