@nguyenhh2811 It was a civil war. You had a newly-formed government in the North fighting a newly-formed government in the South. Your military in the South had almost 1 million soldiers in it. Those were not American soldiers. They were Vietnamese soldiers. You can look that up. And if you want to call your southern government "a puppet government," it was French -- it was not American. And the French government was establishing the type of society that YOUR PEOPLE in the South were asking for. Your civil war was a fight between communism and democracy. That is what you should think about . . . Freedom. The United States was not fighting Vietnam. We were fighting the communist ideology. That was your war.

@baba8-o9t A U.S. corporation operating in Africa obeys all of the laws of that country. If you have a problem with child-workers, that is illegal in America. But in Africa, the income the child brings home may be putting food on the family table. If they did not need the money, they would not take the job. Stop blaming corporations for providing jobs where there were none.

@George-k6o9t You have an interesting comment. But I am American, and your comment is wrong on almost every point. For example: 1. There is absolutely no stress here over gun violence. 2. People panhandling are about 100,000 people in a nation of 346 million. That is not a large enough percentage to define the nation. 3. The people are not "brainwashed" over the Monroe Doctrine or Manifest Destiny. The fact is, if you came here, no one you spoke to would know what the Monroe Doctrine or Manifest Destiny is. All of your comments seem like they come from some media that you heard somewhere. They are not real in America. Manifest Destiny is about the people on the East of the continent expanding and settling the regions in the West. When Americans had tamed the whole continent, the expansion period was over, and manifest destiny ended. It is a nineteenth century concept -- it is expired. The Monroe Doctrine States that we will not let a European country come here and make any American country its own territory and rule over it. (like Greenland) That is an early twentieth century concept. In the twenty-first century, there is no threat of that happening. The Monroe Doctrine is a historically expired doctrine. You are taking expired history and trying to say it is current. Your basic facts are right. But you have them all magnified out of proportion. You have created a cartoon caricature of America with a huge bulbous nose and very short arms. But you have not described the real America. 🦅 😎👍 🇺🇸 ✝️

There is no "double standard" or "inconsistency" in American wars. You simply do not understand what America is and what things Americans stand for. America is an ideological concept. You do not get it. There is no "selective outrage." It is very consistent. You just cannot see the consistency because you are trying to judge through a foreign paradym. The "Moral Authority" is not in question because this is the only country that bases its decisions on love for humanity as defined by Jesus Christ.

America is not "culturally disconnected." We do have a "strong sense of belonging" and a "strong sense of identity." Our identity is rooted in an idea. You do not get that. We "belong" to other Americans who have the same idea. You do not get that. I take it that you avoid observing our Thanksgiving Holiday and our Christmas Holiday and our Easter Holiday and our Memorial Holiday. You are in America reaping the blessings. But you do not understand and you did not assimilate. You are still a foreigner.

@TsugMt I do not see how Mexicans can cause so many problems, and then say they are "tired" of hearing from the country they keep harassing. Your consideration should be for all of the maquiladora factories the Americans built in Mexico to provide jobs. And the open free trade agreements.

My opinion of this guy is that he does not know what America is and he never will. He does not get it. And his socialist ideas sound like a European. He will never change his underlying socialist perspective on the world. He will always judge America through his socialist eyes. He will never "get" America. He will always think socialism is more evolutionarily "advanced." Also, he does not know our war history and understand our wars. That is true with most every foreigner.
