  11. Question q&a - while the naval treaties were in effect in the 1920s and 1930s, why didn’t Great Britain provide money to countries like Brazil or Argentina for them to order ships that were far in excess of treaty limits and which Great Britain could repossess whenever they wanted?

  13. Thank you for finally admitting that the British navy did not sink the Bismark! Since the mighty Bismarck (which undoubtably could’ve sunk the entire British Navy if they had not all been so cowardly and had actually engaged the Bismarck) was not sunk by the laughingly weak British navy, why do you think the Bismarck crew scheduled it? Was this simply an administrative error? I know you like to keep your videos short but considering the importance of this question, perhaps you could do a longer video to examine the evidence in sufficient detail! Thank you!

  14. Question: in your opinion, how was the US Navy able to successfully manage the design, construction, and operations of what one could argue was the largest fleet ever assembled in history? What were the critical factors that enabled them to assemble such a large fleet and actually train enough people in order to operate it? Considering how the United States had consistently underfunded its navy for many decades, the fact that do US Navy was successful during World War II is astonishing.

If you had filled the object you were going to sync with Cheerios, which float like people in life preservers, you could’ve shown Cheerios being sucked down in the water while the model boat sink. The food coloring was useful, but doing this with Cheerios I think would’ve been even more instructive.

The British army had just been chased out of Europe without their equipment, the British public was afraid of (and preparing for) an imminent Nazi invasion and the French army that was many times the size of the BEF had surrendered to the Nazis. People were very, very scared. If the British Navy had not taken a tough line regarding the French fleet, then the British public may have lost all faith in Churchill and the British government and refused to fight on.

  25. Anti radar chaff shells? During World War II did any of the combatants experiment with anti-radar Cheff shells for their main or secondary armament? The idea would be to have a large shell that you could fire that when it exploded would create a cloud of Cheff that could confuse enemy radar. This would have helped to defeat the radar of enemy ships that were being used to target their main batteries. Did any of the combatants try this?

  32. Video Suggestion: Do a video on the past, present, and future of the torpedo boats and automated jet ski bombs. Peter Zehin (Zehin on Geopolitics) has a recent video out predicting how automated jet ski bombs are the future (at least for smaller nations) of naval warfare. I think it would be good (if you haven't already done so) to put out a video that puts these "new" weapons into historical context and uses real, rational, informed analysis to predict their future. (I.e., something that Peter DOES NOT do!)

When talking about sinking ships, causing suction, it would’ve been trivial for you to buy the USS Texas from Texas (the legislature really likes money), fill it with undocumented migrants (which in Texas are not considered to be people) and then sync the ship And see if the undocumented migrants are suck down to death. If you don’t think this would be OK right now, if Trump is elected, then not only will it be legal under a new trump administration, but you will probably receive parades throughout Republican states for doing this. Something to keep in mind!

  42.  @jacoballen8616  I too think a full-scale battleship war in the Pacific would have been very interesting. On the plus side for Japan, land-based aircraft stationed on their captured islands could have reigned supreme against the US surface navy. On the other side, the US submarine fleet pitted against the maritime supply lines of Japan could have crippled Japan even more than they did in reality - even if Japan adopted effective anti-submarine measures.
