Q&@ question: what would war in the Pacific have been like if neither the Japanese, the Americans, nor the British had aircraft carriers for the entire war? Would there have been a pearl harbor? With the Japanese have won the naval battle?

@jacoballen8616 I too think a full-scale battleship war in the Pacific would have been very interesting. On the plus side for Japan, land-based aircraft stationed on their captured islands could have reigned supreme against the US surface navy. On the other side, the US submarine fleet pitted against the maritime supply lines of Japan could have crippled Japan even more than they did in reality - even if Japan adopted effective anti-submarine measures.
