If you are trying to transfer money from one entity in one country to another entity in another country and a bankruptcy of one of the entities occurs, then you got a real mess because the bankruptcy laws are probably completely different, and there isn’t any national level entity that can guarantee both sides of the of the transaction, etc. Bankruptcy!

I think that the reason Elon is building a battery factory is because he anticipates a tremendous increase in battery demand if his electric cars and his solar power storage techniques take off. If they do, And he has a battery factory, he will be able to exploit economies of scale and scope that SamSung cannot.
