You are missing the real purpose of scaring undocumented workers and their families and that is to make them amenable to paying protection money to federal officials or organized crime or local police, etc. so that they won’t be deported. These nasty deportations will only last a year or two, so this is going to be like a game of musical chairs where if you pay the person running the game enough pride money they will make sure that you are not deported. The people who get deported during the year or two of these musical chairs games Will have a very hard time ever getting back into the United States. Even their United States, born children will probably have a very hard time getting back into the United States. The main purpose here is to fleece undocumented workers and the companies that they work for of as much money as possible before all of this nasty deportation crap could shut down. This is not really about MASS deportations as much as about making a lot of illegal money.
