  1. Anthrax! Tanks from Africa may well be contaminated with anthrax which would be highly destructive if introduced into Europe. If I remember correctly, when the US army brought tanks back from the Middle East, the tanks had to go through extensive cleaning in order to try and make certain that tanks contaminated with anthrax did not spread the disease back to the nine states.
