The fact that going to a Taylor Swift concert or seeing a blockbuster movie or participating in an activity like bowling are getting so expensive is actually a good thing! What it means is that if you want to see live music, you should go see a new artist! If you want to see good content, go to a comedy club that isn’t gonna charge you $1 million and see up-and-coming comics. If you wanna do a good activity, go hiking instead of going into a bowling alley. If you want a culturally significant activity, go to your local public library or use their digital book services that are free! The fact that prices are going up so high for these marquee events like Taylor Swift or the Super Bowl or the World Cup or bowling, etc., is good because it means that our culture is going to stop being homogenized! Back in the day when it was cheap to go to a metallica concert, the reason was is that Metallica was not a marquee event, and there were other bands that you could go see. The rise in prices for the “must see“ events and movies, etc. is going up so high means that there is now a lot of opportunity for less famous people. This is not a bad thing!
