  1. Sal, Peter Zeihan knows LESS about geopolitics than he does about shipping! Peter's specialty is to assemble a collection of somewhat related facts, then make sweeping generalizations about the future based on that collection. In short, Peter is a snake oil salesman who probably gets paid by banks, political groups, etc. to try and get investors confused. His claim about the drop in cargo is a great example of the kinds of "facts" Peter assembles - facts that sound TRUTHY with absolutely no backup.
