Trump is crashing the economy so that his billionaire friends who are appropriately hedged can make money. The Trump billionaires will then use the money they make to buy up their competition at fire sale prices without any worry about the DOJ raising monopoly issues. Trump will reverse his bad policies in 2026 so that the Republicans can take credit for economic recovery and get re-elected.
