Love your channel the way it is right now. Please keep covering a wide range of important subjects.

One suggestion: you need to wear really cool looking sunglasses while you do the report. It really works for the angry astronaut and it would work for you too!

Great video!!! Thank you so much for addressing the issue of the dangers of low gravity! None of the Elon Musk fanboys seem to be willing to address this issue, but it is absolutely central to solve this issue if you’re going to colonize Mars. Thanks again.

@TechChasm Thank you for your reply. You are right - Elon Musk is very good but can't address every issue. It is NASA that I am most disappointed with. As Dr. Joseph Parker remarked in his video that you linked to, NASA has had ample opportunity to do extensive research on mice under partial gravity on the ISS over the past 20 years, but instead just keeps on with reconfirming over and over again that 0 or micro gravity and unfiltered cosmic rays are extremely unhealthy for humans. This is extremely surprising to me considering how much testing NASA requires of launch hardware before they will deem it "human rated". My other surprise is that almost none of the other YouTubers or traditional journalists will report on these issues. Thanks again for your video.

Truly colonizing mars is not possible because babies will not grow there in 1/3 gravity. SpaceX should first colonize the moon and then build large orbiting habitats in space that rotate to provide the equivalent of one gravity. People will be able to live there in health and “terraforming“ a man-made rotating cylinder will be a lot easier than terraforming mars.

Don’t be so critical of NASA!!! Yes, NASA has been a make work program since the first landing on the moon in 1969. However, you have to remember that the reason that SpaceX is possible today is because NASA with its make work programs encourage the creation of many different educational programs for space vehicle engineers and also created hundreds of technologies. Both of these are things that enable SpaceX to exist today. If SpaceX did not have them they would not exist.

Starship as a cargo carrier for the military that can go anywhere in the world? No. Starship has to be refueled, and made it with a super heavy booster to get back, so starship probably would only be useful in transporting large cargoes to bases that already had the appropriate facilities to service them. Prepositioning starships in orbit? No. The Chinese, United States, The Russians all have missiles that are capable of shooting down satellites. The Chinese demonstrated this capability not too long ago and was heavily criticized because of all the debris that it caused. Positioning starships in orbit with the idea that they would give you a strategic advantage over an enemy (like China or Russia) is just a pipe dream.

G Wal Perhaps. However, I certainly hope that we don’t have any significant combat in low earth orbit. Because if we do, we would probably end up with so much debris in low or Thor but that most satellites there and things like the international space station would be destroyed and even rockets attempting to launch from the earth would be in significant danger of also being destroyed.
