  1. Starship as a cargo carrier for the military that can go anywhere in the world? No. Starship has to be refueled, and made it with a super heavy booster to get back, so starship probably would only be useful in transporting large cargoes to bases that already had the appropriate facilities to service them. Prepositioning starships in orbit? No. The Chinese, United States, The Russians all have missiles that are capable of shooting down satellites. The Chinese demonstrated this capability not too long ago and was heavily criticized because of all the debris that it caused. Positioning starships in orbit with the idea that they would give you a strategic advantage over an enemy (like China or Russia) is just a pipe dream.

  2. G Wal Perhaps. However, I certainly hope that we don’t have any significant combat in low earth orbit. Because if we do, we would probably end up with so much debris in low or Thor but that most satellites there and things like the international space station would be destroyed and even rockets attempting to launch from the earth would be in significant danger of also being destroyed.
