  1. The Golden parachute is to keep the outgoing CEO quiet. If the Boeing company didn’t pay him enough money, he would probably write a tell book that would further damage Boeings reputation. Also, remember that the golden parachute for the CEO also is a yardstick that the Boeing corporation can use when writing golden parachute checks for the staff of the outgoing CEO. The Boeing corporation needs to be afraid of all those people as well who could write all books. The good news is that the outgoing, CEO and his trusted henchman will probably spend years in court, defending themselves against wrongful death, actions and lawsuits brought by shareholders. Let us hope that they are constantly hounded by the law by regulators by the people who were related to those who died and by shareholders. Getting $47 million on your way out the door doesn’t mean that you’re going to have a happy life and let’s hope that a lot of people help them not to have a happy life.
