  1. Drones are not the most important thing in the Ukrainian war! Unfortunately, the Pentagon probably will end up buying a lot of drones as a result of the Ukrainian war. However, it is very likely that they will miss the most important part of what Ukraine is doing, which is that they have successfully implemented a virtuous feedback loop that is making their drones better and better and their drone tactics better and better. The feedback loop has at least the following steps 1. Design drones and Plan drone attacks 2. Carry out the drone attacks. 3. Evaluate the results and come up with modifications to the design of the drones and the design of the drone tactics. 4. Incorporate the drone modifications and drone tactic modifications into the next design and implementation of drones and drone attacks. The pentagon probably will buy a lot of very good drones. But it is also very unlikely that they will be able to be as nimble as Ukraine in terms of implementing a virtuous feedback loop because implementing such a virtuous feedback loop is almost impossible, given the current contracting and project Structure in the defense industry. They also seem to be doing the same nimble feedback loop with starship, though the influence of Elon Musk demanding that they do stupid publicity stunts like a booster catch on flight five is very dangerous to the overall health of SpaceX and the development of the starship.
