Flattening the curve will mean that the effects on the economy will last far longer. The flattening the curve would mean far fewer deaths of American citizens, not flattening the curve will be much, much better for big business. Which do you think the Trump administration would choose? Flattening the curve would also mean that we would still be in the middle of the epidemic around election time. Not flattening the curve will help the epidemic to end faster, and if it ends in the July or August time frame that President Trump said it would, you’ll have plenty of time in October to convince the American public that he saved the country and to ensure his reelection.
