  1. Summary: CCP buys “strategic” pork to keep prices high. Since this will inflict suffering on normal Chinese people, the only reason I can think of that the CCP is doing this is to put more money into their own pockets by keeping the farms that the CCP owns profitable. As Marie Antoinette would say “let the starving people eat artificially, high-priced, pork“!
