  1. Are there any reliable metrics concerning the quality of the construction of large apartment block housing real estate? Given the poor quality of other types of construction, I wouldn’t be surprised to begin seeing stories of apartment buildings collapsing suddenly with the people inside. One metric I’d be very interested in is how many of these tall towers have functioning elevators at any time? Is the maintenance on elevators being done Who is it should be?

  2.  @hagdore  Yes, I have run into the term used extensively before. My question is is there a way to measure the quality of hi rise construction in China and make predictions as to when it’s going to start falling down.
