  1. Could ever grand pay off its debts if it didn’t sell any more real estate and just finished the units it has already sold? If not, then paying off debt using new sales is really just a Ponzi scheme that eventually will go bust! Of course, I’m assuming that in this scenario, evergrande would sell off the land it has bought for future development but has not yet sold houses to go on it.
