I'm forwarding it to Jordan Peterson but he probably prefers to stay and fight

Won't ever take a passport from a country which doesn't allow dual citizenship. It might be so self-evident that Andrew did not even mention it.

"Don't buy from Russians". That's the point we reached. Same as in Germany some 90 years ago. I thought about a Russian residence visa in the past but it could be a liability now.

By the way, I appreciate that Andrew went all the lenghts to open that account as an experiment/research. To all of us: the first impression matters, so if the bank gives you a headache when opening the account, it won't get better later on. Stay away from them!

Deutsche Bank is a cancer, too bad they are too big to fail. Absolutely corrupt.

If I can't own that land 100% as a foreigner, I'm out, unfortunately. But what makes this video wonderful is the way it opens someone's eyes/mind to what is out there in the world.

"L-E-G-A-L-L-Y go where you're treated best" - I love that part LOL

Brazil: #1 choice. You get a good passport for your child, who becomes a Mercosur citizen and is also eligible for Spanish citizen after 2 years of residence in Spain (as mentioned about Puerto Rico). I usually say Brazil is not a good option for a trifecta, but a "free" passport like that is a wonderful addition to any portfolio.
51
Hard to know what is worse, a new wealth tax or this: "it is illegal to travel abroad for holidays" (taken from an official government website).
43
One more example of why no one should postpone any second residence/passport plans. Rules change and opportunities go away.
43
Been in the US for the first time in my life on a transit flight, I must say that I didn't see any hint of efficiency. Long and slow queues for check-in, immigration and security checks, and even ordering fast food was a nightmare. I really didn't expect that, even with people seemingly exaggerating on their criticisms around here.

Narnia
40
2:44 absolutely, maps are great visual tools and, in this case, give a clear clue about the difference between those passports
40
You should Interview the Minsk Guide. Not only interesting on the geopolitical/diversification issues, but your similar sense of humor would make it one of the most hilarious conversations in history.
39
I love those stories. People think that those scenarios are just crazy theoretical constructs, until Mr. UK Prime Minister himself gets hit by that.
39
I saw that picture yesterday and immediately thought about Andrew's possible reaction.
34
Look at the good side: in the past we used to have only one "voice" telling us "the truth"; now we have some conflicting views. Maybe it's the better option, as annoying as it sounds...
30
Andrew does a great job putting all options on the table, as crazy as they seem. Please continue doing it. Nevertheless, I simply cannot trust what they say, it's like buying Argentinian bonds. Too risky.
30
I damaged the "like" button... Living in a country which moved from the left to the far right, the only felt change was the end of Daylight Saving Time.
29
When I listen to that people... it reminds me of that "The Big Short" movie, the scene with those realtors bragging about the market. Well, I still plan to buy some crypto, but the religion created around it scares me.
29
Turkey. On one side, Syria. On the other, Ukraine. Lovely!
29
Have in mind: Switzerland just replaced their notes by a new series. You can't just buy them and forget for decades, replacements are common.
29
Bukele guy is the latino answer to Lee Kuan Yew
27
"Singapore effect". They made it more exclusive. Pity, but it's perfectly understandable from their point of view.
26
Andrew, you talked about Cairo... but what do you think about the New Capital city? Thousands of projects being built, it could be like "buy 5 condos, get a free citizenship"
26
Credit Suisse, the best.
25
One more reason why a South American passport is basically a must.
24
Naturalization via residence is preferable, unless one is in a hurry. It gives plenty of time to experience the country and make sure you match with its culture.
24
11:18 that sounds insane but it's a reality in a number of countries (besides some US states). Not only Spain and Portugal may keep you a tax resident for 5 years if you move to a tax haven, but I just realized that also Germany does it: if a single person earning EUR 77,000 would pay less than 22% on taxes, that's a tax haven for ANY CITIZEN moving there in the next 5 years... Andrew, I would love to watch a video on that issue (if you didn't already do it).
24
Quite curious timing for such a video. Just today I saw on the news that a Brazilian pastor was forced by law to publicly recant something "homophobic" that he said inside the church while preaching. In the meanwhile, in Scotland, a child as young as 4 has to be respected if they "wish" to have another gender and it's illegal for the parents to fight against it. Wow, there is also a possible "conversion ban" in the UK, so I could be in prison due to a single and benign prayer...
23
What's your least favorite thing? Tom Jobim: "Life in the US is very good, but it's a disgrace. Life in Brazil is a disgrace, but it's very good."
23
I want to start an offshore black marker business. Is Colombia or Serbia a tax friendly jurisdiction?
22
If you never thought of becoming 70, be aware. Take that into consideration when preparing your offshore plan. What is your succession and wealth transfer plan and which role do your citizenships and residencies play?
22
I love the idea of a geographically diversified passport portfolio, but the lack of dual citizenship opportunities makes Asia a no-go area. One eventual exception: Jordan.
22
Absolutely correct. Physical safe havens. But don't spread the word too much LOL
21
Maybe your BEST VIDEO EVER. The bit after 18:53 is legendary! But being honest, that guy is not wrong: in his experience, many/all aspects of being offshore were negative, so this way of life is clearly not for him.
21
Lack of dual citizenship makes it "worthless", but it's a lovely country. It would be a honor to have the same citizenship as the sublime football god, the biggest of all, the master: Dennis Bergkamp.
21
13:49 you nailed it! Even a tier C passport becomes invaluable if it complements the ones you have. I really believe that a passport portfolio has to be geographically and "politically" balanced, and maybe some tier C passports are the best options to implement this.
21
If you think Nomad Capitalist is only about taxes, there you have it.
21
Maybe, if I could afford it. But after that change, I don't trust the government to the point of buying property there.
20
Andrew, I would love to listen your opinion on the "death of globalization" and the impact on the NC lifestyle. Germany's AfD wants to revoke the citizenship from people "not assimilated enough"; the so-called "The National Party" in Ireland is posting inflamed videos against people queueing to get naturalised "without sharing Irish culture and heritage". How to handle that development?
20
14:17 agnostic countries: that's a great concept. In a polarized world, those options are more and more scarce
20
Anyone with specific EU passports won't need to go through the hassle of applying for lump-sum: just enter the country as a self-sufficient person and, with the right types of income, virtually or absolutely no income tax.
20
Almost same here. Dreamed of a house and a 1968 Dodge Charger. This Justin Bieber prime minister messed up everything.
19
Lucky me, I moved half my money from SVB to Credit Suisse. Diversification is key!
19
Andrew, what about the concepts to build a tax-free, hassle-free inheritance plan?
18
There is a Muslim country called Australia. Check what happened there to the bishop Mar Mari Emmanuel 3 days ago.

Iron Curtain 2.0
17
@johntheaccountant5594 either your sense of irony is even more subtle than mine or you didn't get my joke. Have you checked the news?
17
Don't say it loud. We don't want to attract too many people.
