  1. And self-control. Keeping it together as much as possible when the SHTF is really important. Being able to hit hard and with accuracy also really helps. Keeping your mind right to dodge or deflect a few bad strikes and then landing one powerful and well placed blow can be all it takes to end things. Plus there's a legitimate self-defense excuse at that point if the authorities come after you. There are so many cameras around that a lot of fights will probably be caught on video.

  3. All it's cost me is a bit of pride over the years, but I've also never had to hurt anyone else or be hurt too badly in a fight. Be nice, apologize, de-escalate but always be prepared. Basically, be a boy scout - thrifty, brave, and hungry!✌
