@DYLT2000 It's because of the death and suffering that we visit on one another, and which happens naturally during our lives, that humans have held such a variety of religious beliefs over the millennia. It's highly unlikely that most people will let go of those beliefs in the next hundred hundred as their faith also brings a lot of hope and comfort to billions of us. I'm personally an anti-religious agnostic, but I understand why people cling to their superstitions and magical thinking. People believe a lot of things, religious and secular, that make them feel better and provide answers for things that frighten them or make them sad or hurt. It's often easier to believe a fairy tale about reuniting with loved ones in an eternal paradise of plenty and no suffering than accepting the cold, and frankly rather dull, reality that we live we die and that's probably it.

@AFloridaSon Silly rabbit, the original comment was "People in the middle east had been knocking lumps out of each other for hundreds of years before the British showed up" so we're talking about the time before Israel was officially founded. And the people living there have been having a go at each other for a lot longer than just a few hundred years. Thanks for playing.
