  1. History might not repeat but it rhymes like a sunovabeach, eh?. If this generally-used aphorism is true (and it often seems to be) then we need an economic "Big Crash" before we get the next global militarized conflict. What looks like is going to happen in Ukraine is a lot like what already happened in Crimea. I still think it more likely the next global conflict will be with China in about twelve to fifteen years.
