It's sad but it's also sad that we all accept that the countries they are fleeing are all the way they are. Climate change is a global problem that the largest world powers have to work together to solve. Central American countries are bearing the brunt of that without any ability to correct that problem which is beyond tragic. But having a country where there is so much corruption and crime, and it's seemingly accepted as an irreparably broken place, so that you and your fellow citizens flee en mass all the time to another country. And one where you know you will still often be persecuted, prosecuted, abused and generally hated by at least half the people living there. What a world to be born into - tragedy upon tragedy.
