  1. When was the United States not an Oligarchy? Even the post-revolutionary 1776 era was dominated by a few rich white guys and the Donor Class of today is filled with members of the Daughters of American Revolution. Rage against the Establishment and the System as much as you want, I don't see that constant in the social equation changing. Even if the world melts down at some point the Owners will retreat into their secure locations with their elite guard and loyal servants, leaving us to fight over the last few scraps and eventually feed on each other.
