  9. Nah - he should lose the award. He physically assaulted someone and acted like he was justified and in the right for doing it. I went through the same trauma as a kid and we can't let that be an excuse for this kind of behavior. He would be lucky to only be retroactively disqualified from winning the award. This was a unique and unacceptable event - it requires a unique response to discourage anyone from ever doing it again. Just put an asterisk next to the winner for 2022 and lets get back to things that matter.

  31. How is this a head scratcher? Asshole cops being their typical asshole selves and once again getting caught - FINALLY! This is one of the best things about everyone having a camera now. And I know there are cops out there doing the job the right way, but these idiots destroy it for them. Then the Blue Wall closes ranks and makes them all guilty by association, leaving the rest of us stupid civilians fearful of the people we are supposed to trust to help keep us safe, bringing along all the baggage that comes with and from living in fear. Anyone who doesn't have at least some fear of law enforcement hasn't been paying attention.
