Nah - he should lose the award. He physically assaulted someone and acted like he was justified and in the right for doing it. I went through the same trauma as a kid and we can't let that be an excuse for this kind of behavior. He would be lucky to only be retroactively disqualified from winning the award. This was a unique and unacceptable event - it requires a unique response to discourage anyone from ever doing it again. Just put an asterisk next to the winner for 2022 and lets get back to things that matter.
