  10. I fear the moment has passed, probably years ago, and we are in the unavoidable circling the drain phase of the Sixth Mass Extinction. I've always felt like I was in the final years of our species - maybe the planet. I'm just bummed that it didn't happen when I as younger. I'm going to be the Old Man on The Road. Well, at least I didn't have children to lament the loss of.

  18. Being outdoors is good because it reminds how useful things like plumbing and refrigeration are. But when I do go camping we usually have a camper or a tent to retreat into at night or if it rains. But when it's really hot and isn't going to rain you might as well sleep under the stars.
