You should be. Brooks is an apologist and a neo-con. Those people are awful.

If anything they should share mis- and dis-information so when people like Putin, Modi, Xi, and others try to use it won't be of any use and everyone will know why.

Sly and not half as clever as he likes to think he is.

America has always been divided along a number of lines including political, cultural, class, regional, religious, racial and more. Social media is just one more recent factor.

Hard to stay centered and watch the world when the house is being set on fire.

They already had a good economy. The fact that prices are too high doesn't mean the economy is in bad shape. They chose to vote for an adjudicated rapist and convicted felon who bankrupted 4 to 6 businesses and ran some 13 others into the ground, doesn't pay his bills, and steals from charities. And that doesn't even begin to address all the grifting and the stealing and sharing of classified documents. It's unfortunate that all of us are going to have to suffer for all the Trump voters lack of understanding about the economy, lack of concern about his character, and their poor electoral judgement. And now with RFK set to gut HHS we'll probably not only have economic problems in a year or two but any number of health crisis' as well.

Truman was awful. I get that history looks very favorably on him, which is proof of that adage that history is written by the victors. Truman created an opaque, permanent, and unelected bureaucracy, armed with such broad discretion that it is nearly impossible to hold it accountable or to prevent it from abusing its myriad powers. Americans today live under a government that wages wars, both open and clandestine, the world over; that imprisons and murders its own citizens without due process; that spies on citizens, elected officials, and foreign leaders with utter impunity; and that still engages in torture. People blame Reagan for a lot of the problems in the US today, but they really started with Truman.
