17:30 - Someone needs to remind Sam of the old but ever true saying "it's the economy, stupid" as one of the main problems was that prices are too high and too many voters blamed the party in power for that. I suspect what made the difference in this election were the people that held their nose and voted for Trump in spite of his character because they want prices to go back to the way they were when he was in office. They are going to be sorely disappointed when that doesn't happen and they'll "vote the bums out" in 2026 and possibly 2028. Me Too and Woke rage is mostly an issue with people who aren't going to vote for Democrats to begin with and they aren't the majority of the electorate.
