11:45 - I really wish the Bulwark would do a full episode deep dive into Project 2025 for us. I've familiarized myself with it in general and that was more than enough to know just how dangerous a policy it is. Makes me so mad that more people with a platform are not shouting from the rooftops about it. Project 2025 is how democracy dies!

@MarcosElMalo2 My impression is that from the time of FDR up through the Civil Rights movements there was a period of growing social and economic equality that Reagan and his "government is not the solution to our problem, government is the problem." ideology sought to overturn.

Hubris is also a powerful aphrodisiac.

Said it another post, I wish the Bulwark would do a full episode deep-dive on Project 2025.

We're all a mix of good and bad, but the saying power corrupts is often very true so yeah, it does seem to often bring out the worst in people. Then again, the system also often rewards and elevates those people who already have any variety of abusive and antisocial sociopathies.

Just posted about this in your other comment to one of the other people who replied to you. Reagan's "government is not the solution to our problem, government is the problem." speech made it clear that the progress of the FDR era and the Civil Rights movements were dead on arrival with his administration. I regularly argue that much of the problems we see in the US today can be traced back to his time in office. When it comes to Ronald Reagan I'm with Killer MIke.

It's not just Biden. The White House needs to get an army of surrogates on the stump with Biden with a unified message calling out Trump and his Just Say No Republicans and their stall tactics. It's a damn shame the Democrats have a VP who is generally even more disliked than he is.
