My state went for Hillary in 2016 so we tried. But it's what happens when there are so many gerrymandered districts and wide-spread voters suppression combined with the Electoral College electoral system. The fact that Hillary was the other candidate didn't help either. A lot of people really didn't want a Clinton back in the White House and didn't vote because they didn't think Trump would actually win. They didn't make the same mistake in 2020 even with as unpopular as Joe Biden was.

The German news media is all in for Trump? Are you saying that they are hoping for a Trump presidency (which is what being all in for someone typically means) or more that they believe it will happen and are lamenting the idea? Certainly hoping it's the later of those two.
