  2. Totally true. We can look back to the way many of them talk and act and they have always been awful. Even before the changes that happened during the Civil Rights legislation in the 60's and there was more of a variety in the Republican party there was a lot of racist jingoism and wacky conspiracy theories about communists and such. But during the Nixon, Reagan and Clinton years the Republicans were also yelling about their culture war nonsense culminating with the whole jack-booted thugs, UN Black helicopters and FEMA re-education camps, and other nonsense of the 90's. We can point to any variety of crazy crap from them during the Bush/Cheney era and then everything from the Tea Party movement when Obama was in office. They were always like this.
