I like the GNR version of this a lot, but McCartney's original is still my favorite. That funky break at 1:23 - funk yeah.

did you reach her, you son of a -- preacher man? ("Aw shut up! I wasn't gonna say bitch'!" Black Lassie Johnny Stash and Carl with his wa-wa - AKA Cheech and Chong)

Very true! As long as people can watch these ridiculous old movies from the perspective of the era they were made and not try to apply current standards to them it's easy to have a wonderful time watching them.

It wasn't the 1960's or the 70's or the 80's but that whole period of time from the early 1950's through the early 90's that were transcendent.

I know other decades had their own things that made them special, but the 80's will always stand apart from the other decades in so many ways. At the time it was all teenage frustration and yearning for the freedoms that would come with being an adult, but luckily there were also a lot of damn good times cutting class, breaking the rules, and being stupid kids doing stupid stuff. I wish I knew then how much those years would mean to me later, but I'm grateful I've got the memories. I guess that's just the way it goes.
