  1. "The White Plague" - Frank Herbert - 1982. Nobody saw this coming - riiiiight. And then there was "The Last Man On Earth" with Vincent Price and it's 70's remake "The Omega Man" with Mr Apocalypse himself - Moses! (even a third with Will Smith, but that was a relatively recent release)
