I can act or speak in racially insensitive ways, but it usually as an ugly response to being triggered somehow. But my default position and set of beliefs is for inclusion and equality and am someone most people in the struggle would call an ally (I think). We don't seem to be able to make a distinction between someone being racist and someone who is a racist. Whether people like it or not, even though neither one is good, there is a difference.
