I may only be a mere 52 but my entire life has been spent being concerned about environmental problems. My dad was a news reporter and we always had a television for the news (and entertainment) when I was growing up. There was a huge push in environmental regulation that was enacted during Nixon's presidency by the 60's and 70's environmental movement and events like the Cuyahoga River fire in 1969. I've watched fifty years of protests, sit-ins, monkey wrenching and other direct action to try and temper the machines of industry and progress with care for the planet and the rest of the species here with us. Maybe we aren't all Jane Goodall or David Attenborough, but maybe we would have a lot more Gretta's and groups of Extinction Rebellion if we'd had the tools of Today back then. The struggle goes on!

Don't beat yourself up. Much worse sins are committed and forgiven on a routine basis. I am a Hell-bound secularist but that hasn't make me any less curious about God, religion, mysticism and metaphysical philosophy. Sin is tricky because of the technicalities around it in any given religion. But the question is would you be a better person, Christian or otherwise, if you didn't react the way you are? Fundamentally, yes. It's almost always best to listen to the angel on your shoulder - there are exceptions. But it's also completely fair to say you're simply blowing of steam after having a visceral reaction to something that is making you upset. There a much more negative ways you could respond, and you aren't (I hope) doing those. If God really is what God is supposed to be then we can't understand the why of things and you reacting the way you are is part of that why. If it bothers you, then God knows that and I'm sure has already forgiven you. I wanted to finish with the ending line from when Arnold prays to Crom in the original Conan movie, but I'm thinking it might not be entirely appropriate so...
