  7. I thought we were making progress, but with the way things have been going lately sadly I feel like the patriarchy, like the oligarchy and plutocracy, is largely alive and thriving. At least it is in a number of the conservative stronghold states.

Hardly anyone ever talked about the Project for the New American Century back in the late 90's and then Bush/Cheney were put in power by the Supreme Court, Saudi terrorists attacked the US on 9/11, and we got the Afghanistan and Iraq wars and the Patriot Act. Project enacted. I'm hoping we have a different outcome this time, but history does rhyme.

  13. The U.S. already has the highest rate of maternal deaths of any high-income nation, and it's significantly worse for Black and Indigenous women. By banning health care for women who need an abortion, adjudicated rapist and convicted felon Donald Trump's Supreme Court and Republican controlled states restricting access to abortion medical procedures are putting the lives of many, many more pregnant women at risk. And even if they survive, these politicians are making it less likely women who experience life-threatening problems during their pregnancy will be able to conceive in the future. That's the pro-life party of family values. Vote Biden/Harris 2024 and vote for democrats all down the ticket in November.

  18. To be fair, Trump and Vance mostly only hate strong, independent women who don't need a man or anyone to validate them. They like (I don't know if they know how to actually love anyone including themselves) the women who defer to men and who fulfill the various needs and assuage the insecurities these two deeply broken men have.
