  1. We were taught to not tolerate a bully but then we were regularly bullied and learned that we had to tolerate it because bullies often are tolerated and sometimes even cheered on and encouraged by others.

  2. I know I shouldn't judge, especially from my safe home in my country that isn't being bombed, but here I go anyhow. If her parents have no where else to go I can see staying, but the whole "this is our city so we're not leaving" thing they said also made me sad and a little mad. There's no shame in taking their child somewhere that isn't being bombed even if it means becoming a refugee in another country like many other Ukrainians have done. I think it's better to leave and live so you can come back to rebuild once the fighting stops. Everything about this nightmare save the strength and resilience of the Ukrainian people is heartbreaking.
