  1. Conscription is BS for two main reasons (really more but these two main ones). First, not everyone is cut out for combat and no soldier with any sense would want someone who doesn't want to be there being there. There is no way to rely on a soldier that has been forced to be there. Second, as long as the kids of the rich and powerful can avoid the draft then it's a corrupt process that no one else should be forced into.
