Even if you ignore all the texts calling him someone who hates Jewish people since you specified "Jews that call in", he regularly pushes back against people who call in, Jewish or otherwise, that argue Israel should be able to whatever it wants in the war in Gaza. James has a fairly even-handed and nuanced position about what is going on, that has admittedly evolved since October 7th, which gets him called all sorts of horrible things by extremists on both sides of the conflict.

  2. It's a Matrix reference that originally meant to be made aware of the truth of reality as a bleak and difficult existence in which we will have to fight and struggle to find any happiness. In more recent years it's been co-opted by the far-right to express their frustration that men, especially the kind of men that adhere to the ideology of Andrew Tate and others like him, don't occupy the dominant role in society anymore. After going back and re-listening to that part, she was definitely using it in the original way and not the new way.
