  4. The West has already won (-ish). Even if Ukraine doesn't drive the Russian attackers out or should fall completely, much of the rest of the West is more unified against Putin's Russia than in the past forty years. Russia has lost a generation of young men to the war and by having fled the country and is more of a failed state than ever. And NATO has new members and many of the countries in NATO are increasing their military spending and force readiness.
