If Biden wasn't there some people would be yelling "where's Biden?" and him being there some people are yelling "why is Biden there" - he's there because the US is always there. The US is always involved as the "best friend Israel has in the region".

@Dickie2702 If they'd meet with him I suspect Biden would meet with Palestinian families too. Though I'm not sure his security detail would be okay with that.
