  1. People have been posing with firearms for as long as we've been taking pictures. And I'm sure there are painted portraits of people who posed with their flintlock rifles and pistols from before the invention of photography. There are certainly historical portraits of people in armor and wielding a variety of ancient weapons. For some people their weapons are the central part of their identity. It would be like taking a Holiday picture with the whole family being kitted out in regalia from Manchester United or dressed up in Star Trek costumes.
