  1. I'm mostly a supporter of unions but police unions do something that no other union does - gives any cop that does wrong a damn near free pass at being one of the bad guys. And if they're serial offenders they usually get promoted, moved to another town, or allowed to retire with full benefits and big taxpayer funded paycheck and continue to be a bully with the support of their good old boy buddies still on the force.
